Executive Moves: TOTE, Waterways Council, Coyne

Alex Hofeling and Tracy Zea are promoted and Tristan Koch is hired.
Alex Hofeling has been named vice president and general manager of TOTE Maritime’s Alaska office and operations.
He will assume the role on Jan. 1 and will relocate to Anchorage with his family over the coming months.
Hofeling, who will oversee both the Anchorage and Fairbanks offices, has been with TOTE Maritime since September 2013. He succeeds Grace Greene, who was promoted to president of TOTE Maritime Alaska in August.
Before joining TOTE as a regional sales manager, he worked for Coastal Transportation and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Waterways Council Inc. has promoted Tracy R. Zea from director of government relations to vice president of government relations.
Zea, who had served as director since August 2015, advocates for authorizations and appropriations that support a modern, efficient and reliable inland waterways transportation system. He also works to enhance WCI’s stakeholder relationships with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Before joining WCI, Zea served on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure for five years and assisted in legislation related to the Federal Aviation Administration and Map-21 highway reauthorization and played an integral role in the enactment of the Water Resources Reform and Redevelopment Act.
Prior to joining the committee, he worked for Sen. John Thune, R-S.D.

Coyne Airways announced Tuesday that Tristan Koch will be joining the company in January as its managing director.
As part of the airline’s global expansion plans, Koch will be based in London and will cover the original markets Coyne served around the Caspian as well as 50 markets in the Middle East and Africa that it now serves.
“We are expanding our existing business and extending our operations to new territories, and Tristan is very much part of that planned growth,” said Larry Coyne, company founder and CEO. “He brings a wealth of cargo experience and will spearhead the next phase of Coyne’s development.”
Koch has more than 18 years of experience in the air cargo industry, including senior roles at British Airways and, most recently, American Airlines, for which he was managing director of cargo sales for EMEA ISC.
