Executive moves: YRC and Midwest Association of Rail Shippers

YRC names new general counsel, while the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers appoints 2015 officers.

   YRC Worldwide has named James A. Fry as vice president, general counsel, and secretary, effective April 20. He is leaving his position as general counsel and secretary at Swift Transportation in Phoenix, where he worked since 2008.

   The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers recently elected its 2015 officers, which include George Macko, president of SCO-Pro, as president; Michael Barth, director of sales for CSX Transportation, as first vice president; and Michael Jones, transportation manager for North Dakota Mill, as second vice president. Also appointed to its executive committee were Melissa Cohen of Stryrolution America, Carrie Evans of Iowa Interstate Railroad, Stefan Loeb of Watco Cos., Chris Meyers of USG Corp., and Bryan F. Vaughan of GE Capital Rail Services.
