FMC reviews 25 OTI license applications

   The U.S. Federal Maritime Commission has received 25 ocean transportation intermediary license applications and changes for review.
   The FMC received non-vessel-operating common carrier license applications from ASC Global Logistics, Gardena, Calif. (Suwon Song, chief executive officer); Cargoworld Express, Houston (Ho-Leung Tse, managing member); D&P Wholesale & Distributors, Santa Ana, Calif. (Thanh V. Phung, director); and Rota International, New York (Hasan S. Akipek, president). 
   The agency received NVO/ocean freight forwarder license applications from Automax Transport, Arcadia, Calif. (Alex C. Huang, chief executive officer); GP Logistics, Phoenix, Ariz. (Lars Kloch, president); HT Cargo USA, Garden Grove, Calif. (Tham T. Ho, president); King Cargo Corp., Miami (Luis Guilherme Gabiatti, secretary); and Laft, Hawthorne, Calif. (John J. Park, vice president). 
   The FMC also received ocean freight forwarder license applications from A2B Cargo, Kennesaw, Ga. (David R. Ashford, member); Caribbean Connection Import/Export, Medley, Fla. (Marcia Thorpe, president); Forest City Ocean Freight, Spokane, Wash. (David A. Duer, managing director); Hayek Services, Miami (Fransua A. Hayek, president); Sovana Global Logistics, Dulles, Va. (Anita Knapp, chief officer for maritime transportation); and Total Freight, Miami (Brian Contipelli, managing member). 
   In addition, the agency received applications for changes to qualifying individuals from Expert Log, Doral, Fla. (Annia Ortiz, manager); GP Logistics, Elk Grove Village, Ill. (Lars Kloch, president); NIK Transport, Rowland Heights, Calif. (Freddy I. Kuo, director); Seabridge International, Baltimore (Vernon R. Martin, president); Transoceanic Projects Development Co., Houston (Leonard P. Headrick, secretary); and Weida Freight System, Inglewood, Calif. (Yongliang “Victor” Wei, president); for addition of trade names from Blade Express, Hawthorne, Calif. (Kathleen Martin, secretary) to include Axis Ocean Logistics; and Universal Containers, Encino, Calif. (Ajay R. Rathod, manager); and for trade name deletions from ABF Freight Systems, Fort Smith, Ark. (Stephen J. Vicary, assistant vice president) to delete ABF International Sevices and ABF Global Supply Chain Services; and EP America, Houston (Nicolas B. Pena, vice president) to delete Rubik (EP America).
