Freight aggregation platform newtrul has announced an integration with McLeod Software’s PowerBroker platform that allows McLeod freight brokerage customers to search for loads and carriers through newtrul’s search engine and booking tool.

“Without an integration, brokers spend hours searching through databases, reaching out by phone, email or third-party booking platforms just to schedule a truck,” said newtrul CEO Ed Stockman. “With this integration, McLeod users can search for and vet carriers, and transact in seconds, saving an average of $70 and 40 minutes each time they need to find a truck.”

newtrul automates the process of finding carriers and capacity for shippers and brokers. newtrul shares users’ available loads with a hand-selected carrier list for selection. The platform does not charge integration fees, posting fees or a monthly subscription fee. There is a transaction fee when a load is booked. According to the company, brokers and shippers preselect the carriers they wish to make their loads available to, and the remainder of the process is automated.

The integration with McLeod means that brokerages using McLeod PowerBroker can now post and book loads through the newtrul system without logging into external platforms.

“newtrul helps us meet our carriers’ need for a simple yet effective booking solution that ultimately results in saved time and money on an otherwise labor intensive process for procuring trucks,” Chad Wakefield, co-founder and COO of Live Logistics and a user of both McLeod Software and newtrul, said in a statement.

Carriers can benefit through the increased visibility into shipments and less time spent negotiating rates.

“The Digital Freight Matching service allows our PowerBroker customers and trusted partners to quickly implement automated solutions to cover more loads with fewer hours. We are excited to work with newtrul in this emerging automation of the traditional load booking process,” said Robert Brothers, vice president of product development at McLeod Software.
