Inchcape adds VPs for Europe, North Africa

Inchcape Shipping Services has set up a new regional team for its Europe and North Africa operations.
ISS recently reduced its world operation from eight regions to four, including a separate office for Japan. The Europe and North Africa operations team is the first of the four regional teams to be announced.
Simon Edsall has been appointed to executive vice president of operations in the Europe and North Africa region. He was previously managing director of Condor Ferries. He also worked for London Gateway and P&O.
Kevin Cool was named vice president of operations for ISS’s Europe and North Africa region. His industry experience includes liner trades, ship agencies and developing technology for port community systems. He was previously general manager in the United Kingdom for ISS.
Javier Torrente has also been promoted to regional operations manager for Europe and North Africa.
The new operations division will be led by Michael van Hemert, chief operating officer. Also reporting to van Hemert will be Simon Peters in a new role as global head of service delivery.
“We talked to customers in detail when reviewing the business and based on their feedback created a new structure which centers on promoting their needs and ensuring we achieve the very best operational performance and service management,” van Hemert said.
