Ingram Micro to acquire e-commerce fulfillment business for $175m

The acquisition of Docdata’s order fulfillment, returns logistics and online payment services will complement Ingram Micro’s existing business.

   Ingram Micro Inc. has agreed to acquire the e-commerce fulfillment business of Netherlands-based Docdata for approximately $175 million, the company said Tuesday.
   Docdata is one of the leading European providers of order fulfillment, returns logistics and online payment services, to retailers, brands and start-ups.
   Docdata currently handles between 125,000 and 250,000 orders on a daily basis, with major operations in Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The company is expected to contribute in excess of $150 million in annual service revenues to Ingram Micro.
   Docdata will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro. Docdata chief executive officer Michiel Alting von Geusau will continue to lead the company, reporting directly to Ken Beyer, Ingram Micro executive vice president commerce and fulfillment solutions.
