Jones heads Virgin’s cargo sales

   Virgin Atlantic Cargo has appointed Nick Jones to the new post of head of sales.
   The newly created role, based at the airline’s U.K. headquarters, is part of an initiative to strengthen the commercial team following two consecutive years of record cargo growth for Virgin Atlantic. Jones reports to Dan Parker, vice president for commercial.
   Prior to his appointment, Jones spent eight years with Virgin Atlantic in both cargo and passenger divisions before joining Emirates Airline in Dubai on its strategic planning team. In 2010, he rejoined Virgin Atlantic Cargo as regional vice president of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based at London Heathrow.
