Kubota to build North American DC in Kansas

Grapevine, Texas-based construction equipment manufacturer Kubota Tractor Corp. will purchase 203 acres at Edgerton, Kans., on which it will construct its new North American logistics operation, the company said in a statement.

   The Grapevine, Texas-based construction equipment manufacturer will purchase 203 acres near its currently leased facility in Edgerton. On that property it will construct two 1-million-square-foot buildings to increase its distribution capacity and improve delivery of parts and equipment to customers throughout the United States.
   At the Edgerton facility, it will also add a fifth operational division and sales office to better serve its Midwest dealerships, Kubota said.
   Kubota currently has 150 employees at Edgerton and plans to add another 150-200 employees once the new facility is built.
