New tankers could be run on LNG

Four, 50,000 DWT Jones Act product tankers being built by General Dynamic’s NASSCO shipyard in San Diego for American Petroleum Tankers will be “LNG-conversion-ready. Construction of the first tanker is scheduled to begin in 2014.
