Port of Hueneme extends contract with auto processor

   The Port of Hueneme has extended a contract with Global Auto Processing Services (GAPS) through Jan. 31, 2019. This is the fifth modification of GAPS contract since it first began operating at the port in March 2007.
   GAPS Vehicle Distribution Center has 80 employees and more than 40 temporary workers.
   Port Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director Kristin Decas said, “In addition to GM and U.S. manufactured Honda exports, GAPS partners with logistics provider Glovis USA, (the logistical arm of Hyundai/Kia), to handle the Hyundai and Kia family of Korean manufactured automobiles. We greatly value this partnership and look forward to many more years as partners.”
