Rising consumer confidence, falling demand for goods — Great Quarter, Guys

Is there a limit to how much American consumers want to spend?

This episode is brought to you by DDC FPO. DDC is a business process outsourcing provider that specializes in freight. Perhaps best known for Freight Billing, DDC also offers Customs Brokerage Processing to help companies clear customs faster. Learn more at ddcfpo.com.

FreightWaves’ Anthony Smith joins Andrew Cox as co-host on this episode of Great Quarter, Guys and the two dig into consumer behavior in Q2.

The two talk about consumer confidence when it comes to spending and the shift from goods demand to services demand. Even though demand for goods is slowly decreasing, Americans still are spending the money they banked away during lockdowns and travel limitations.

The guys welcome Parker Woodward, marketing director at Route4Me, to talk about what the parcel sector is seeing when it comes to increased stress on the system. Woodward explains how Route4Me is helping navigate shipping delays and strain across the transportation industry at a time when every sector is stressed out.
