Shipco opens offices in Pakistan

Non-vessel-operating common carrier Shipco Transport has opened offices in Pakistan, with its head location in Karachi and branch facilities in Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot.
The Pakistan operation will be headed by Asim Saeed and the staff of General Maritime (Pvt) Ltd., Shipco’s long-time agent in the country.
“While we have had a presence in Pakistan for years now, the establishment of our brand there now cements our commitment to expand service offerings to and from this region,” said Klaus Jepsen, group chief executive officer, in a statement.
“It also allows the streamlining of processes and service levels,” he said. “Key to this is the fact that our facilities in Pakistan will now operate on the same IT platform as that used by all Shipco offices around the world.”
Shipco is a subsidiary of Scan-Group, an international shipping and transportation company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has more than 2,700 employees in own offices worldwide.
