Supply chain resiliency part 2 — Medically Necessary

Continuing the discussion about real-world examples

Matt Blois continues his conversation with Vizient Vice President of Contracting and Program Services Mittal Sutaria and Senior Vice President, Emerging Solutions and Suppliers, David Gillan about the shining examples of resilient supply chains.

Vizient’s website lists three things the company is doing to improve the resiliency of the supply chain. The three standouts are transparency, accountability, and commitment to supply.

Gillan and Sutaria talk about what each facet means and where they can see each flourishing in today’s world. They also talk about using domestic manufacturing in increasing supply chain resiliency and finding the right balance of foriegn versus domestic manufacturers for drugs and medical supplies.
