The future is bright for electrification

Who is making waves in the AV/EV space?

Dooner and The Dude are live from the FreightWaves Autonomous & Electric Vehicles Summit with a good slate of guests to highlight the bright stars in the autonomy space. They welcome FreightWaves Detroit Bureau Chief Alan Adler answering some viewer questions from today’s event.

Also on the guest list is Shawn Kerrigan, COO of Plus, who explains where the industry is overall with the rollout of autonomous vehicles and how Plus fits into that AV space. Kerrigan also breaks down Amazon’s choice to invest in the Plus system and why that move could be beneficial instead of waiting for full driverless trucks.

Next up is Jordan Green, co-founder and VP of corporate development at AEye. They talk about the latest news to hit the AV space from TuSimple. Dooner and The Dude also get Green to explain the differences between RADAR and LiDAR and how LiDAR will support autonomous driving.

Lastly, Kristina Lorusso from The Giumarra Cos. joins the show to talk about the recent autonomous truck test project for produce delivery. Lorusso talks about how autonomous tech will change the way goods are harvested and shipped out to consumers.
