TQL opens Houston sales office

Cincinnati-based freight transportation broker Total Quality Logistics (TQL) has opened a new sales office in Houston.
The Houston location will start with 13 employees, but TQL expects to expand that headcount to about 50 over the next three years.
This is the company’s second office in Texas and 19th nationwide. TQL started operations in 1997.
“National expansion is important for our company because it allows us to serve an increasingly larger share of the domestic transportation market,” said Kerry Byrne, executive vice president of TQL, in a statement.
TQL posted sales of $1.38 billion in 2012 and moved nearly 700,000 loads of freight for its customers.
