Trailer Leasing Alliance starts operations

Trailer Leasing Alliance (TLA), based in Wayne, Pa., has started full-service trailer leasing operations with 16,000 late model 53-foot trailers.
These trailers were recently acquired by US Trailer Holdings.
TLA is the newly formed joint venture owned by Milestone Trailer Leasing of Tiburon, Calif., and Bowman Sales and Equipment in Hagerstown, Md. Milestone and Bowman are also investors in US Trailer Holdings.
The joint venture is staffed by former GE Transport International Pool executives, including Marc Meunier as president. Bowman and Milestone will provide support as well as additional capital and the use of their trailer rental platforms to support TLA’s growth.
TLA has also formed an alliance with McKinney Trailer Rentals to provide trailer leasing at branch locations in the western United States. This allows TLA to provide complete nationwide rental branch facilities and leasing services to its customers, Milestone and Bowman said.
Milestone operates 18,000 highway rental trailers through its sister company Personal Attention Leasing. The company has 19 branches mostly located in the Midwest. Milestone Equipment Corp. is also the largest lessor of domestic containers and intermodal trailers with a combined Milestone Group owned and managed fleet of 40,000 units.
Bowman is the second largest semi-trailer leasing company in the United States with a fleet of more than 30,000 assets and operates out of 34 branches. Bowman is a full-service provider that includes in-house maintenance and delivery/pick-up capabilities for trailer capacity in most locations.
“Bowman has been very fortunate to be able to make large capital investments to achieve rapid growth during the trailer leasing market consolidation that has taken place in the U.S. in the last few years,” said Dennis Hamill, president of Bowman Trailer Leasing.
