Vanguard Logistics Services launches digital portal

Adesso system is designed to give less-than-containerload shippers “control and transparency.”    Vanguard Logistics Services said it had launched Vanguard Adesso, a digital platform for LCL shipping.
   The portal will enable instant quotes, booking, payment and track and trace for LCL cargo globally, said Vanguard.
   “Customers now have the ability to research, secure and manage shipping with real-time booking capabilities — an online and digital experience they have come to expect,” the company said.
   Graham Cousins, Vanguard chief strategy officer, said that “e-commerce and digitization are changing the dynamics and economics of freight markets, demanding ease of use, transparency and on-demand solutions for international shipping. 
   “Spurred on by the exponential growth of e-commerce, trade patterns are shifting to dynamic and omni-channel supply chains — closer to customer — for which digital LCL gives access to speed, flexibility and smaller cargo lots at the most efficient cost,” he said.
