Updated forecast for MarketWaves18: pack warm clothes

More than a thousand people will soon flock to Grapevine, Texas, just a stone’s throw from Dallas, to learn all about the current and future trends impacting the freight and logistics market. MarketWaves18, taking place Monday and Tuesday, November 12 and 13, will be an exciting and fun time. Here’s an updated forecast to help you pack so you don’t get caught off guard by the weather. One thing’s for sure – it’ll be cold! You’ll want to bring a coat.

Most of you are probably arriving sometime on Sunday. Wherever you’re coming from, even if it’s not raining there when you leave, grab an umbrella. We’ll have rain showers in Grapevine on Sunday night.

The morning of Demo Day (Monday) will be rainy and windy. As the rain tapers in the afternoon it could change to wet snow as temperatures fall into the mid-30s. Stay bundled up Monday evening as you head to the Glass Cactus Nightclub for the Waves After Hours With Uber Freight Dinner and Party. Temperatures will be around freezing by the time the party’s over, and cloudy skies will clear overnight.

Sunshine return for Tuesday! However, there will definitely be a nip in the air as you head to day two’s events in the morning. Temperatures will start in the upper 20s, only reaching the 40s later in the day.

For those of you staying for the BiTA Symposium on Wednesday, it’ll be freezing cold again in the morning, but the afternoon will be sunny and warmer with highs in the mid-50s.
