XRS Corp. (formerly Xata Corp.), a developer of mobile fleet software, appointed Christian Schenk to senior vice president for product strategy and market growth.
Previously, Schenk was vice president of product marketing and market development.
In his new role, he will have responsibility for the company’s product roadmap and marketing, lead generation, inside sales, partnerships, channel marketing and sales enablement, XRS said.
Before joining XRS, Schenk worked many years in the fleet technology and wireless industries as owner of ELCON Systems, a producer of toll collection systems for the North American and European commercial transportation markets, and as the co-founder of SelectComm Communications, one of North America’s largest wireless distributors, which went public in 2008.
