Great Wall Airlines appoints operations chief

Great Wall Airlines appoints operations chief Sino-Singapore air-freight carrier Great Wall Airlines has appointed Capt. Yeap Fock Hoong as senior vice president operations, effective April 7.
   A former pilot with Singapore Airlines, his responsibilities at Great Wall include development of the airline’s pilots, communication of organizational matters to all levels of flight operations management, introduction of change management, operational safety standards, and coordinating the aircraft fleet through integration of schedules and maintenance.
   Great Wall is jointly owned by the Beijing Aerospace Satellite Applications Corp. (51 percent), part of China Great Wall Industry Corp.; Singapore Airlines Cargo (25 percent); and Dahlia Investments (24 percent), a subsidiary of Singapore-state owned Temasek Holdings.
