Report: COSCO exec slain in Pakistan

   Zhu was reportedly sitting in his car with Ye Fan, a COSCO trainee, at a local grocery store when a single assailant fired at least 10 shots into the car, two of which struck Zhu in the head. Fan was unharmed, according to an account of the incident from maritime news outlet Splash 24/7.
   “The incident appears to be a targeted attack, [it] doesn’t look like a mugging,” said Azad Khan, deputy inspector general of Karachi’s south zone, according to a Reuters report.
   A COSCO spokesperson told the news service, “The company has taken steps, first to ensure the safety of our staff overseas; secondly, to inform the family so that they can go and make funeral arrangements; and thirdly, we immediately contacted the local consulate and embassy to get their assistance.”
