CCNI opens South Korea offices, takes slots on Atlantic service    Chilean shipping line Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica (CCNI) is opening two offices in the South Korean cities of Seoul and Busan.
   CCNI said the offices required an investment of $1 million and will open June 7, providing services in sales, client support, documentation, accounting, invoicing and operations, among others.
   Last year CCNI opened offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai and plans to open branches in Ningbo and Qingdao.
   CCNI said it is the first Chilean company to establish owned offices in South Korea, following the recent signing of a Free Trade Agreement between Chile and South Korea.
   According to ComPair Data, the global liner-shipping database, at https://www.compairdata.com, CCNI offers three weekly services between South Korea and West Coast South America.
   CCNI, along with CP Ships, have filed a new space charter agreement with the Federal Maritime Commission allowing CP Ships-owned Lykes Lines to charter space to CCNI in the trade between the U.S. Gulf Coast/Mexico and Italy/Malta/Spain and between the U.S. Gulf Coast, Miami, and Mexico.
   The agreement appears to be a revision of the current agreement under which CCNI takes space from Lykes and TMM Lines.
