Brewer appointed to U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service

Brewer appointed to U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service    The U.S. Department of Agriculture has appointed John D. Brewer to associate administrator of the Foreign Agricultural Service.
   Brewer joins the USDA from consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where he worked on a variety of intelligence and finance-related projects for the Defense, Justice, Homeland Security and Treasury departments, and private sector financial institutions, such as Bank of America and Wachovia.
   He also worked as a senior analyst for American International Group's Office of Global Risk Assessments.
   His previous government experience includes stints with State, Treasury and Defense, working on issues including U.S. policy toward Latin America and the Caribbean, U.S. counter-narcotics policy, and anti-money laundering/counter-terrorist financing programs.
