DANZAS INTRODUCES FINANCE AND INSURANCE SERVICE

   Danzas, the Swiss logistics and shipping group owned by Deutsche Post, has introduced a trade finance and insurance service worldwide.
    With its "Cash Forwarding" service, Danzas will finance and insure cargo shipments through the supply chain.
    The service will include straightforward transaction financing and credit insurance, as well as "complex models covering financing of the goods through the entire supply chain, including inventory financing," Danzas said.
    The forwarder said that the integrated service can be used by shippers as an alternative to downpayments and letters of credit.
GTE Corp., the U.S. manufacturer of cellular phones and accessories, is one of the first users of the finance and insurance service.
