ARMS IMPORTERS MUST SUBMIT FOREIGN EXPORT LICENSES    U.S. Customs has issued a reminder that commercial importers of firearms, ammunition and parts must submit copies of foreign export licenses to Customs.
   Customs requires the foreign licenses because of recent changes in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency regulations which mandate that foreign export licenses be obtained for firearm shipments.
   The agency said if the exporting country does not include export licenses, the importer must file a certification to that affect along wit the BATF Forms 6 and 6A in order to obtain release of their imports.
   Customs also said it will now accept copies of the BATF permit, Form 6. Originals were previously required to obtain the release of import s of firearms, ammunition and parts.
