Hamburg Sud to drop Ybarra Sud name

Hamburg Sud to drop Ybarra Sud name    Germany's Hamburg Sud will on Jan. 1 drop the name of its Spanish subsidiary Ybarra y C'a. Sudam'rica S.A (Ybarra Sud), and will instead call it Hamburg Sud Iberia S.A.
   In December 2005, Hamburg Sud acquired from CMA CGM the remaining 50 percent share in the Mediterranean/East Coast South America joint venture.
   'Through brand consolidation Hamburg S'd is pursuing the goal of linking the entire range of its operations as closely as possible, taking advantage of synergies and, as a result, achieving added value in its services for its customers,' Hamburg Sud said in a statement.
   All of Ybarra Sud's contact details will remain the same when the name change occurs.
