Army Reserve to market CBP jobs to veterans

Army Reserve to market CBP jobs to veterans       U.S Customs and Border Protection, which is looking to fill 11,000 positions as its border mission continues to expand, signed an agreement Tuesday with the U.S. Army Reserve to provide jobs for reservists.
   CBP is the first federal agency to participate in the Army Reserve's Employer Partnership program, which was launched one year ago to place part-time soldiers in companies and other organizations.
   Many reservists have law enforcement training as military police and others are considered well suited for a variety of positions because of their experience dealing with dangerous situations.
   CBP employs more than 47,000 border officers, trade specialists, technicians and other support personnel. The Border Patrol is a component that has experienced rapid growth as efforts to control illegal immigration have became a national priority.
