Carriers make large art shipments

   American Airlines has transported more than 200 pieces of artifacts and gold from Bogota, Columbia, to London’s British Museum for an upcoming exhibition.
   The move required help from art logistics company Momart as well as custom packaging cases. On-bord couriers carried the gold pieces.
   “This was a highly complex single cargo movement, and our cargo specialists in Bogota, Miami and London executed a textbook operation,” American’s Tristan Koch said in a statement. “We are delighted to have played a part in their safe arrival.”
   In other news, AirBridgeCargo Airlines moved Piet Mondrian paintings valued at 130 million euros ($176.14 million) from Amsterdam to Moscow for an exhibition at the Tretyakov Gallery. The 34 paintings were transported on Boeing 747-8 and 747-400ER freighters.
