John Emery has been appointed to the new position of senior vice president of Spectrum Logistics, the carrier's new wholly owned logistics subsidiary. He joined Sea Star in 2001 as assistant vice president, yield management, and was most recently vice president and general manager of Sea Star Line Agency Inc. in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Edward 'Ned' LaGoy will succeed Emery as vice president and general manager of Puerto Rico. He joined Sea Star in August 2006 as assistant vice president of field sales. He previously held executive positions with Hyundai Merchant Marine, Horizon Lines and Sea-Land Service.
