Averitt names VP of international development

Averitt names VP of international development Trucking and logistics services company Averitt Express has named Charlie McGee vice president of international development.
   McGee will be responsible for developing new international markets while streamlining relationships with existing international partners, the company said. Since joining the company in 2003, he has focused on establishing offshore partnerships and networks, specializing in the Asia market.
   “Charlie’s wide range of domestic and global transportation experience has been instrumental in building a seamless international logistics program to serve Averitt's customers,” said Phil Pierce, Averitt's executive vice president of sales and marketing. “In his new role, Charlie will lead business development efforts to identify global opportunities and establish partnerships that contribute to a strong and reliable logistics network to meet the varied needs of our customers.'
