Hyundai to relocate to Los Angeles port    Hyundai Merchant Marine and its California United Terminals subsidiary are relocating their operations from the Port of Long Beach to the neighboring Port of Los Angeles' Pier 405/406.
   CUT will sublease a 91-acre portion of APM Terminal’s Pier 400 property.
   'The new partnership between HMM, APMT and the Port of Los Angeles demonstrates our commitment to serve this important gateway and the needs of the community today and for years to come,' said Lamont Petersen, vice president of marketing at Hyundai.
   Hyundai has two transpacific services calling at Long Beach. The Pacific Southwest service make its final call in Long Beach in mid-November and the Pacific China Express (PCX) will relocate to Pier 400 in December.
   No delays to customers are expected with the relocation.
   Hyundai said it would benefit from the move through use of the dedicated 1,250-foot berth, cranes, 91 acres of pure container yard space, on-dock rail service, and gates.
