Aysan Ay, an 11-year vice president of chartering for Mid-Ship and a Turkish national, will manage the Istanbul office. The office will work closely with Mid-Ship’s other offices in Beijing, Belo Horizonte, New York, New Jersey, New Orleans, and partners in Germany and Mexico.
“We will be offering 24 hour global service so that (shippers) can speak with someone in every time zone in each of the major trading regions of the world,” the company said in a statement.
