Atlas Air vet to head United Cargo

Atlas Air vet to head United Cargo    UAL Corp. named Scott Dolan senior vice president of United Airlines and president of the United Cargo division.
   Dolan was with bankrupt Atlas Air holding company where he was senior vice president and chief operating officer. Atlas Air has experienced lots of management change in the past year as it struggles to reorganize and exit bankruptcy protection.
   Dolan had been COO at Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings since last July, when he was promoted from vice president of operations at Atlas sister company Polar Air Cargo. He joined Polar in 2000 after working for G.E. Capital Aviation Services as a consultant on the company’s investment in Polar Air. One year later he left GE to join Polar, shortly before Atlas Air acquired the company.
