Throughput at the Fos terminals, which handle east/west container services, increased 10 percent to 160,000 TEUs. The Marseilles terminal, used mainly for north/south and Mediterranean trades, declined 3 percent to 73,000 TEUs.
Total port traffic for the first quarter, including bulk cargoes, was up 6.6 percent to 24.9 million tons.
