Bellinger named chairman of U.S. Meat Export Federation

Bellinger named chairman of U.S. Meat Export Federation    The U.S. Meat Export Federation has elected John Bellinger to chairman for 2005-2006 at its Strategic Planning and Marketing Conference.
   Bellinger works for Agri-West International in San Antonio, Texas. He replaces outgoing federation chairman Alan Smith of Cargill Meat Solutions in Wichita, Kan.
   The federation also elected Dennis Erpelding of Greenfield, Ind.-based Elanco Animail Health to chairman-elect; Dan Halstrom of Greeley, Colo.-based Swift & Co. to vice chairman; and Glen Keppy, a Davenport, Iowa hog pork producer, to secretary-treasurer.
   The federation’s members include producers of beef, pork and lamb, in addition to feeders, packers and processors, oilseed producers, feed grain producers, and farm organizations.
