Great White Fleet switches U.S. West Coast port    Great White Fleet, the ocean carrier arm of Chiquita Brands International Inc. is switching its U.S. West Coast port operations to Port Hueneme from Long Beach.
   The weekly “U.S. West Coast” service has sailed between Long Beach and Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, shipping bananas and other fresh produce. The first sailing from Port Hueneme is scheduled for Nov. 1. Port Hueneme is northwest of Los Angeles, in Ventura County.
   Chiquita also said it reached a long-term operating agreement with LauritzenCool, which specializes in the international transport of perishable goods. Chiquita will store its cargo at LauritzenCool’s on-dock refrigerated facilities.
