Hazmat scare in L.A. port found safe    A hazardous materials team was called to APL's terminal in the Port of Los Angeles early Tuesday morning after a white powder was found leaking from two cargo containers aboard a cargo ship from China, though safety officials deemed the containers safe.
   The U.S. Coast Guard and Los Angeles police and fire departments were called to the port at 4 a.m. Tuesday morning as the APL Tennessee pulled into port after the captain of the ship became aware last week that two 20-foot cargo containers were leaking a white powder used as an industrial disinfectant and bleaching agent, with a strong chlorine odor, local TV station KABC reported.
   A port spokesman said the cause of the leak was loose-fitting packaging. The terminal was closed for 90 minutes as the containers were moved to another area and were emptied. There were no reports of illnesses or injuries.
