Based in Palo Alto, Calif., SAP Labs North America is the North American research arm of the international software firm.
Branitzky, an early member of TopTier Software, joined SAP as a vice president of business development in the firm's global ecosystem and partner group following the acquisition of TopTier in 2001. Since 2006, Branitzky has served as senior vice president in charge of SAP global software solution partnerships.
SAP AG also said S. Singh Mecker has been named senior vice president of the firm's Global Ecosystem and Partner Group, replacing Branitzky. Mecker was senior vice president of global solutions and alliances for management and technology consulting firm BearingPoint. Previously, he was chief executive officer at Valdero Corp. and a corporate executive at KPMG and Oracle.
