NYK takes stake in Nansha car terminal    NYK Line said Monday it acquired a 12.5 percent share in a car-carrier terminal in the Nansha port complex in the western Pearl River Delta.
   The Japanese line has taken a stake in Guangzhou Port Nansha Automotive Terminal Co. Ltd. (NAT), which has three other Chinese shareholders — the Port of Guangzhou Container Comprehensive Development Co. (45 percent), Guangzhou Automobile Group Business Co. (27.5 percent), and Guangzhou Nansha Infrastructure Investment Co. (15 percent).
   NAT began operations in 2005 and now operates as a finished-car logistics complex in South China, handling around 240,000 cars in 2010. That makes it the third biggest such terminal in China, after Shanghai and Tianjin.
   NYK already operates dedicated car-carrier terminals in the ports of Dalian, Tianjin and Shanghai.
   'This investment in Nansha, Guangzhou, gives NYK capital participation in dedicated car-carrier automobile terminals at China's four major ports,' the line said.
   Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
