Schenker gets “A class” license for Shanghai office

   Schenker (H.K.) Ltd.’s representative office in Shanghai has received an “A class” forwarding licence from the Chinese authorities under the mainland/Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement program.
   “Under this scheme, Schenker China Ltd. is entitled to operate as a wholly-owned entity in China,” the German parent company said.
   Karl-Heinz Emberger, general manager of Schenker China, said that Schenker has experienced a double-digit growth in China during the last few years, and will further expand its network and services.
   Schenker’s majority-controlled joint venture in Beijing already operates with an “A class” license.
