Jaxport board elects new chairman

   The Jacksonville Port Authority’s board has elected Stephen D. Busey as chairman, beginning July 1.
   Busey takes over from Reginald L. Gaffney, who will continue to serve as a Jaxport board member.
   Busey is chairman of the Jacksonville law firm Smith Hulsey & Busey. He also serves on the boards of several community non-profit organizations and was appointed to Jaxport’s board in 2009.
   Each fiscal year, the Florida port’s seven-member board elects officers from its membership. Officers serve one-year terms.
   James P. Citrano, managing director of CB Richard Ellis, was named vice president of the board; Joe York, vice president of legislative affairs for AT&T Florida, was named secretary; and John E. Anderson, retired president and chief executive officer of Patriot Transportation, was picked to serve as treasurer.
   Other members of Jaxport’s board are John Allen Newman and John J. Falconetti.
