U.S. CUSTOMS SETS DEADLINE FOR CDSOA ORDERS FINDINGS    The U.S. Customs Service on Wednesday said it intends to distribute assessed antidumping or countervailing duties to domestic companies to offset injuries caused by dumping.
   Customs said it must receive written certifications from interested companies by Sept. 3.
   The Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000 was enacted to assist affected domestic producers who petition for money to offset such injuries. To obtain a distribution of the offset under an order of finding, an affected domestic producer must submit a certification to Customs, indicating that the producer desires to receive a distribution of funding.
   Customs defines an “affected domestic producer” as any manufacturer, producer, farmer, rancher or worker representative interested in a petition, and who remains in operation. Additionally, the U.S. International Trade Commission is responsible to ascertain and forward to Customs a list of the affected domestic producers that are potentially eligible to receive an offset in connection with an order of finding.
