The company said in January it would shift from its longtime home in Oakland to cut down on headquarter costs. In May, NOL said it chose Phoenix as its new Americas headquarters. As well as cutting costs, the company said the new head office will enable it to 'co-locate business units from around the country that need to work closely together.'
The new Phoenix office will house 300 employees from APL and APL Logistics, as well as a terminals division that manages four U.S. West Coast terminals and two in Asia.
