INTTRA signs on Spanish NVO

   The portal-based ocean transportation technology provider INTTRA said Tuesday that Spain-based non-vessel-operating common carrier International Forwarding S.L. (IFS) has joined its network.
   “Not only is INTTRA able to help us improve efficiencies, but also provides services to make us more agile for our customers,” said Jose Quilis, chief executive officer of IFS, in a statement.
   In conjunction with IFS joining the INTTRA network, the Port of Valencia’s Port Community System, an INTTRA alliance partner, has enhanced its integration to include NVO services, INTTRA said.
   “With this enhancement, any Spanish freight forwarders connected to valenciaportpcs.net can now perform ocean shipping transactions to IFS through the INTTRA network,” the company said.
   The INTTRA/IFS integration project and the development of Valencia Port Community System integration to include INTTRA’s NVO services have been carried out as part of the MOS4MOS Project, co-financed by the European Union.
   “In today’s competitive market, NVOCCs need accurate data and proven e-commerce solutions to increase profitability, ensure customer satisfaction and grow new business,” said Robert Serrano, INTTRA’s senior sales director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. “By joining the INTTRA network, IFS will gain a significant market advantage through faster service and increased visibility into the ocean shipping supply chain.”
