Virginia Inland Port uses grant money to install CCTV    The Virginia Port Authority said it has installed a closed circuit television system at the Virginia Inland Port as part of an ongoing effort to improve security at the Warren, Va., freight hub.
   The system will be used to help monitor a perimeter line that stretches for nearly two miles.
   The $793,250 video surveillance system, which can be programmed to detect motion and set an alarm, was largely funded through a port security grant from the Department of Homeland Security. The port authority received a grant of $634,600 for the project.
   The port authority has already added perimeter fencing, lighting and tighter access controls at the intermodal truck and rail facility.
