DB Schenker moves to Frankfurt

DB Schenker moves to Frankfurt    DB Schenker, the transportation and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn, said it will consolidate management functions in Frankfurt, relocating units from Berlin, Mainz and Essen.
   About 330 management staff of the business units of DB Schenker Logistics and DB Schenker Rail and from cross-unit functions from the division will be located in Frankfurt.
   DB Schenker's headquarters will remain in Berlin, where the company has 17,000 people in the capital.
   Karl-Friedrich Rausch, the member of the company’s management board responsible for transportation and logistics, said the company intended “to expand our international business operations from Frankfurt. The future of logistics is in cost-effective carriers providing cross-sector services for our customers. With management concentrated at one location, we have the optimum conditions to expand.”
