According to Giuseppe Mauro Rizzo, managing director of RBD Armatori, the ships will be the largest ships in the company’s fleet of 50 ships, a Bloomberg report said. The company has ordered 10 vessels from Chinese shipbuilders worth $650 million.
The ships, which would be the first Capesize bulk carriers built in China for an Italian carrier, are scheduled for delivery from 2009 to 2011.
