Revenues rise at Norbert Dentressangle

   Norbert Dentressangle experienced a 3.9 percent, year-over-year increase in revenues during 2013, ending the year at 4.03 billion euro ($5.44 billion).
   The final result was propped up by a 9.4-percent increase, year over year, in logistics revenues, which ended 2013 at 1.95 billion euro. Transport revenue dropped by 1.2 percent when compared to the previous period, ending the year at 2.014 billion euro.
   Freight forwarding revenues for the year rose 1.3 percent compared to 2012 to 145 million euro, aided by the acquisition of Daher Group, which has strong operations in Russia and France.
   The company said earnings will be in line with results from the past two years.
   “Our group is reaping the benefits of its significant presence in the recovering British economy and its positioning in business sectors linked to household consumption, including e-commerce,” Herve Montjotin, chairman of the company’s executive board, said in a statement. “The Transport business has confirmed the more favorable trend in its business activities with a regular improvement over the past few months. In the Logistics business, after the positive momentum recorded in 2013, the growth slated for the next few months is strong.”
