Etihad Cargo commences Miami freighter service

The United Arab Emirates-based airline will utilize Boeing 777-200F freighters for the route and is the fourth carrier to offer cargo services to Miami in 2017, according to a report from Air Cargo News.    Etihad Cargo has commenced its first weekly flight to Miami, according to a report from industry outlet Air Cargo News.
   The flight features a Boeing 777-200F, which first stops in Columbus, Ohio before making its way to Miami and then across the Atlantic to Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi.
   Etihad is the fourth carrier to launch all-cargo services to Miami in 2017, giving the Florida airport two all-cargo routes into the Middle East. According to Air Cargo News, Qatar Airways launched two weekly cargo flights from Doha and Miami in February, with stops in South America and Europe. The other two carriers offer South American flights from Miami, with the Mexico-based Aeronaves TSM launching 10 weekly flights from Cancun in March and TACA Peru starting four weekly freighter flights from five South American cities in August.
   Etihad previously launched two other U.S. cargo routes to Columbus and Tuscon, as well as a flight to Bogota in Colombia, earlier this year.
