Singapore forwarder expands handling capabilities

   Singapore-based Megaton Shipping — an international air and sea freight forwarder handling shipments throughout Asia, Europe, North America and South Africa — has expanded its handling capabilities to include all manner of cargo regularly shipping to Central Asia and Russian port cities.
   The company had previously offered clients a limited list of handling services.
   Founded in 1991, Megaton mostly focuses on connecting Russian inland destinations with the rest of the world. 
   “By expanding our handing capabilities to everything from auto parts and electronics to foodstuffs and more, we are furthering our goal to continuously providing more comprehensive and reliable services to our clientele by better serving the international market through reliable offices and agents in different parts of the world,” a company spokesperson stated.
   The company offers weekly sailings from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Some of its key shipments have included an out-of-gauge oil and gas project, shipping two tugboats and transporting tractors on roll-on/roll-off vessels. – Jon Ross
